Original Tomb Raider Level Now Playable in Browsers

A group of developers is aiming to bring the original Tomb Raider games online by building them from scratch. And a fully playable level from the first Tomb Raider is now available to play in browsers.

After reportedly being denied access to Eidos’ original source code, developers in the OpenTomb project, as spotted by Polygon have decided to rebuild the first five Lara Croft adventures from scratch. The team has so far completed the second level of the first game — the City of Vilcabamba level — and made it available for play while allowing players to alternate between first and third person viewpoints.
