According to an interview PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Designer Brendan Greene did with BusinessInsider, developer Bluehole Studio plans to complete the PC version in the next five months ‘or so’, in Greene’s words. As well as that, we may see a console launch could be happening in the future.
‘We have a team working already on looking to port it to at least the Xbox One,’ Greene told BusinessInsider, before adding ‘We’re looking at both consoles of course, but we have no time frame for both.’
Greene seems eager to get the game to both Xbox One and PS4 fairly quickly, but PC is obviously taking precedent currently. Greene praised Unreal Engine 4 saying ‘It’s a great engine to use for multiplatform,’ while also making sure that the PC version gets done.
